Missouri football bowl projections have Eliah Drinkwitz and the Tigers headed to the Birmingham Bowl with a game against UAB.

Despite falling at cross-divisional rival Arkansas in Battle Line, the Missouri football team is still 6-6 and heading to a bowl game.

This is Eliah Drinkwitz’s second season in charge in Columbia. While his program has a ways to go to get back in the swing of things in the deep SEC East, making it to a holiday season bowl is a huge step in the right direction for his team. Though the Tigers are not slated to play in a marquee bowl game, winning six games is always a big deal for a team that is on the rise and finding itself.

While it will be a bowl game for the Tigers, it will feel more like a home game for their opponent.

Missouri bowl projections: Tigers vs. UAB in TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl

Brett McMurphy of The Action Network has Missouri playing the UAB Blazers at in the TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama on Dec. 28.

With UAB playing in its hometown and in its home stadium, the Blazers could potentially have a home-field advantage when Mizzou plays in the Birmingham Bowl. However, the Tigers have played a tougher SEC conference schedule, while the Blazers are only a good, high-end Group of Five team in Conference USA. Regardless, this matchup seems is to be an evenly-matched one.

If Missouri football fans want to see the Tigers play again this year, they can travel to Birmingham.
