With USC football turning to freshman quarterback Jaxson Dart, Kedon Slovis looks like a candidate to head for the transfer portal. Where could he land?

Kedon Slovis essentially Wally Pipped JT Daniels at USC. The tables turned in 2021 when he was all but Wally Pipped by Jaxson Dart.

It seems in Slovis’ best interest to get healthy and to see what the landscape at USC looks like under a new head coach and offensive coordinator. Still, he will be on transfer watch until his fate becomes more clear.

Slovis only had one Pac-12 offer outside of USC coming out of high school and Oregon State seems to have found a signal-caller in Chase Nolan. So the pool of teams looking at Slovis in the transfer portal could be different from the ones who looked at him early on.

5 potential transfer destinations for Kedon Slovis

Arizona State

Let’s start with the obvious. Slovis is from Scottsdale, Arizona which isn’t a far cry from ASU in Tempe.

The Sun Devils may need a quarterback to replace Jayden Daniels if he opts to go pro. If he stays then strike this option off the list.

Arizona

Slovis could return to his home state, just not so close to literal home, by heading to Arizona.

The Wildcats have a trio of young quarterbacks who have seen action in 2021 but Will Plummer, Gunner Cruz and Jordan McCloud didn’t make enough of an impression to suggest there won’t be a battle for the starting job in 2022.

Slovis could come in and give the position some veteran stability immediately.
