Davante Adams throws shade at Odell Beckham Jr. for choosing Rams over Packers
By Scott Rogust
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams threw some friendly shade towards Odell Beckham Jr. for signing with the Los Angeles Rams.
Odell Beckham Jr. played in his second game in a Los Angeles Rams uniform on Sunday, against a team that was in the running to sign him earlier this month. The Green Bay Packers were a reported team of interest for Beckham following his release from the Cleveland Browns, but he chose to sign with the Rams instead.
Prior to the game, NFL Network’s Michael Irvin interviewed Packers star wide receiver Davante Adams and asked him if he tried to recruit Beckham. Adams brought up that a couple of days ago, Beckham asked him for his jersey after the game on Sunday, and decided to throw some friendly shade at him.
You can listen to Adams’ answer in the tweet below around the 2:20 mark.

It was all in good fun for Adams, as he said he loves Beckham and that he wishes nothing but the best for him on the Rams.
But after Green Bay defeated Los Angeles 36-28 on Sunday, Adams told the media that he sent a jersey over to Beckham, but told the Rams wideout not to “put a hole in the wall this time.” Of course, this is in reference to when Beckham punched a hole in the wall at Lambeau Field after the Packers defeated the New York Giants 38-13 in the Wild Card round in 2017.
Adams shined in Green Bay’s win over Los Angeles, as he hauled in eight of nine targets from quarterback Aaron Rodgers for 104 yards.
Even though Beckham’s Rams were on the losing end, he managed to catch his first touchdown with his new team, logging in at 54-yards. Beckham caught 5-of-10 targets for 84 yards.
Adams and the Packers now get to enjoy their bye week with their ninth win on the year. As for Beckham and the Rams, they look to gain ground on the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West with a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
