Oklahoma State football legend Dez Bryant could not have been happier to see the Cowboys win in Bedlam on Saturday night in primetime.

With the Oklahoma State football team defeating Oklahoma in Bedlam, former Cowboys standout wide receiver Dez Bryant was there in Stillwater to celebrate the monumental occasion.

Bryant may not have played for the Pokes in a decade, but this is home for him. Knowing a win over the Sooners would get the Cowboys one step closer to reaching the College Football Playoff, so much was on the line in this game. While Bryant was there as a fan and a proud Oklahoma State alum, check him out getting fired up over the big win on the field and in the locker room.

All Oklahoma State needs to do is beat the Baylor Bears in the Big 12 Championship game to potentially reach the College Football Playoff for the first time in school history.

Not only did the Pokes get their first win in Bedlam since 2014 on Saturday, but it knocked the Sooners out of College Football Playoff contention. This was Oklahoma’s second conference loss on the year, as they fell to Baylor only a few weeks ago. Though Oklahoma State will likely enter the Big 12 title bout ranked No. 5, a win over Baylor in Arlington should get them into the dance.

While Bryant is arguably the most notable of several elite Oklahoma State wide receivers to play in Stillwater for Mike Gundy, this year’s Cowboys team has been led by its stout defense. Though Oklahoma put up points on them, it was the Pokes defense that made the big plays when Oklahoma State needed them to. This is a very special year for the entire Cowboys program.

A win over Baylor next week and a Georgia win over Alabama in the SEC Championship game guarantees Oklahoma State will make the College Football Playoff for the first time in school history.
