USC football legend Reggie Bush is on board with the Trojans hiring Lincoln Riley, predicting great things for the new head coach.

Even before his return to USC after NCAA restrictions were lifted, Reggie Bush was one of the more vocal Trojan alums critical about the state of the program.

The former Heisman winner called out USC for failing to live up to the standards of the program.

Now Bush and the rest of the Trojan Family have something great to look forward to with USC hiring Lincoln Riley as the new head coach.

Reggie Bush is stoked about Lincoln Riley going to USC

Bush joined the rest of Twitter in praising the Trojans for making such a bold move.

It’s tough to imagine USC making a hire that could inspire bigger “bright future” exclamations than Riley. He’s produced multiple Heisman Trophy winners and multiple finalists for the award as well. In five years as Oklahoma’s head coach he won four Big 12 titles and took the Sooners to the College Football Playoff three times.

He’ll have to work quickly to rebuild the Trojans to compete at that level. However, USC has talent to work with, particularly at the skill positions, and the Pac-12 is ripe for the picking.

Bush and fellow Trojan teammate Matt Leinart should have an interesting time this coming week on FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff considering Bob Stoops’ connection to Oklahoma. Stoops is expected to take over as the Sooners’ interim head coach for the bowl game.
