After the Raiders disrespected the Chiefs logo, Kansas City safety Armani Watts got the last laugh with a victory and a cutting tweet.

There’s a fine line between hyping up your own team and handing your opponents bulletin board material.

On Sunday ahead of their game against the Chiefs, the Raiders majorly crossed that line.

Las Vegas gathered as a team on top of the Kansas City logo at midfield and had a pregame speech. The Chiefs took notice and proceeded to crush their AFC West rivals.

KC beat up the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium just a few weeks ago, so they might have demolished them again either way. Whatever the motivation, they won 48-9.

The players’ response to the incident backed up the idea that Las Vegas poked the dragon and got burned. After the game, safety Armani Watts made sure to rub it in.

Kansas City’s defense has been at the root of their turnaround this season. Watts played his part with a fumble recovery as the defense forced five Las Vegas turnovers.

Meanwhile, the Raiders’ defense couldn’t slow down Patrick Mahomes or the KC rushing attack. Clyde Edwards-Helaire punched in two touchdowns and Derrick Gore broke free late for a long score.

The Chiefs not only won the game but took one step closer to claiming the AFC West division. They’re in first place ahead of the Chargers by one game. The Raiders are in last place.
