Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy admits he made a critical mistake down late to the Green Bay Packers in his team’s latest loss.

Matt Nagy admits to making a huge mental error with his Chicago Bears down double digits late to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.

Surprisingly, the Bears actually looked good in the first half on the road at Lambeau Field. Unfortunately, the Bears devolved into being the Bears in the final two quarters. Nagy painfully admitted that he should have gone for it on fourth-and-inches down 11 points in the fourth quarter. Chicago would lose to the Packers 45-30, falling to a disastrous 4-9 on the season.

The McCaskeys aren’t going to do it until Black Monday, but the Bears are a dead franchise for as long as Nagy is allowed to coach this team into the ground.

The Bears might be a proud organization in that they have never fired a head coach in-season. Too bad nobody cares about that track record. In fact, it only signifies how out of touch ownership is with the current landscape in the NFL. Nagy has been a bad head coach for years, yet perpetual mediocrity was allowed to continue. This passionate fanbase deserves so much better than this.

For an offensive-minded head coach, why has it been beyond pulling teeth for the Bears to look better than bottom quarter in the league offensively for … an Olympiad? What is even more troubling is a head coach admitting he should have gone for it down double digits in the fourth quarter. This is something head coaches figure out in their first year on the job, not in year four.

Unless you dig pain, there is no reason to watch the Bears anymore for the rest of the season.
