Steph Curry failed to break the NBA 3-point record against the Pacers, meaning he’s two away as he’s set to play in MSG on Tuesday. Tickets are outrageous.

On Monday night, Golden State Warriors fans all but took over Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis to watch Stephen Curry get another attempt at breaking Ray Allen’s record for most career made 3-pointers.

But the better narrative was always Steph Curry falling short of the mark against the Pacers and having an even better opportunity to set the record on Tuesday night in Madison Square Garden as the Warriors take on the Knicks.

That is exactly the way things play out. After going 5-of-15 from deep on Monday, Curry is one 3-pointer away from tying the record and two away from owning it himself. And he’ll almost surely set it at the NBA Mecca, MSG.

If you want to see it happen in person at the Garden, though, you’re going to have to pay an arm and a leg (and possibly another limb) as the prices on the resell market are through the roof.

Warriors-Knicks ticket prices are outrageous to watch Steph Curry break record

Since the time that tweet was posted, fans could actually get a slightly better rater of under $400 per ticket (before fees) on the resell market. But even then, it’s a wild price to pay to sit right next to the roof in MSG.

Now, it should be said that tickets at Madison Square Garden are far from affordable on a normal basis. However, there is a wide margin between paying $74 — the price of the cheapest ticket for Dec. 21 against the Pistons — and what the Warriors tickets to see Curry are going for.

That’s the price to pay if you want to see history, though.
