There is a person impersonating an UCLA football coach making offers to recruits.

A big part of college football is recruiting. Most importantly, it is a grand achievement for high school football players looking to receive an offer from a college program. Unfortunately, there is some bad news to share with you all.

An individual claiming to be a coach for the UCLA football team has been going around making offers to recruits. The issue is that they are not associated with the Bruins football program whatsoever.

The story comes courtesy of 247 Sports’ Bruins Report Online, which you can view here.

A fake UCLA football coaching has been making offers to recruits

Jacob Allen, an outside linebacker recruit out of Naples, FL, tweeted out on Sunday that he was one of the players to receive an offer from the fake UCLA coach. Allen included a screenshot of the individual’s phone number to warn other recruits. You can see Allen’s tweet below.

The Bruin Report Online article mentions that they heard “UCLA is doing what it can to lessen the damage and identify the fake coach perpetrator.”

To go around pretending to be a college football coach and making offers to high school football players is simply cruel. Here’s hoping the fake UCLA coach is found.
