Florida State fan burns Deion Sanders jersey in new Signing Day low (Video)

A Florida State football fan actually tried to burn his autographed Deion Sanders jersey.

Somehow, someway, a Florida State football fan achieved a new Signing Day low by attempting to burn his framed autographed Deion Sanders Seminoles jersey out of spite for the Jackson State head coach.

Sanders shocked the college football world by getting No. 1 recruit Travis Hunter to flip from Florida State to the Tigers. Though Sanders is one of the greatest players in Florida State football history, some fans will never, ever be able to forgive him for this. In a fit of extreme rage, this fan tried to burn his most prized Florida State possession, without even taking it out of the frame.

To paraphrase New Found Glory, it feels like we are at an all-time low for Florida State football.

It is unfathomable that Florida State continues to be a laughingstock like this in the ACC. All things equal, this should be the best program in the conference. The late Bobby Bowden built this program out of seemingly nothing into a national power. Not even a decade since Jimbo Fisher left for Texas A&M and this program is in the toilet. How can Mike Norvell even look at the fanbase?

However, all it takes is the right head coach to turn a blue-blood like Florida State around. Tallahassee resides in a rich football state and this program is brimming with tradition. When Florida State is good, there are few programs like it in the country. For now, we have to endure absolutely furious Florida State fans burning their Deion Sanders autographed jerseys out of spite.

This is going to be really awkward when Coach Prime becomes the next face of FSU football.
