Auburn football transfer Bo Nix confirms he’s made contact with Lane Kiffin
Quarterback Bo Nix is leaving Auburn football and he may not go very far with Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss apparently in the mix.
Bo Nix is one of the most intriguing quarterbacks in the transfer portal out of Auburn.
After passing for 2,000 yards in each of the last three seasons, Nix is looking for a new home. Since Ole Miss is going to send Matt Corral off to the NFL after their bowl game, linking Nix to the Rebels is a no-brainer.

Nix revealed on The Next Round podcast that he has been in contact with the Ole Miss head coach.
“I have not spoken on the phone with Coach Kiffin,” Nix said, per 247Sports. “I have texted him, but it’s not been…They’re in the middle of Sugar Bowl practice so he’s pretty busy himself. He’s obviously trying on his end, but he’s trying to win a game, too, and give Matt Corral his best chance to finish out his season. And those guys, they’re trying to get to 11 wins themselves.”
There are a ton of highly-valued quarterbacks in the portal right now, so it’s not a given Kiffin will want to put all his eggs in the Nix basket. Texas’ Casey Thompson just entered the portal while Texas A&M’s Zach Calzada, USC’s Kedon Slovis and others are available.
On the other side of things, there are a lot of open quarterback jobs at programs around the country, so Nix may find another opportunity somewhere else.
