The August boxing contest between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley was a competitive scrap that saw the social media star barely outpoint the former UFC champion via split decision. Now it’s time for the rematch.

Woodley called for the rematch immediately after the fight. He even got Paul’s name tattooed on his middle finger, which was oddly part of their pre-fight wager. However, Paul wasn’t honoring a rematch. Instead, he targeted Tommy Fury, Tyson Fury’s younger brother, for his next fight.

A sudden change occurred after Fury pulled out of the bout with an injury and illness, so in stepped Woodley to fill the void.

Woodley wasn’t expecting to fight Paul, but he jumped at the opportunity for redemption. He actually weighs four pounds less than the first matchup, but he doesn’t look as cut. Is the 39-year-old Woodley in boxing shape?

We’ll soon find out.

The betting odds are once again in Paul’s favor, according to WynnBet. Surprisingly, Woodley is only a 2-1 underdog even though he has already lost to Paul and is giving up size and a 15-year youth advantage to Paul.

Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley 2 live round-by-round updates and highlights

Round 1

Woodley charged out of his corner to start the round. He threw some punches but not much landed. Paul used his length to go to Paul’s body with the lead jab. There was a lot of holding, which got the crowd booing early. It was a sloppy round that was hard to score.

Round 2

Paul scored with his right hand early. Every time he got close to Woodley, Woodley held. Paul landed more punches but only because Woodley was so inactive. Woodley’s hands were frozen and didn’t do much other than hold.

Round 3

Paul scored early with a combination, but an elbow opened up a cut on Paul’s forehead. Woodley connected with a combination and attacked Paul. Paul fought back and scored as well, but it was a good round for Woodley, who was inspired by seeing Paul’s blood.

Round 4

Paul started the round passively. Woodley backed him up and closed the distance. Paul worked the body a bit, but the pace was slowed down by more holding.

Woodley used his MMA skills to pick up Paul and throw him to the canvas. The referee warned Woodley for his slam. The action, what little that there was, came to a halt in this round.

Round 5

Paul tried to use the jab, but he had a hard time catching Woodley. The fight got very sloppy, and the crowd showered Paul and Woodley with boos. They had a point. It was a horrid display of boxing, fought at a snail’s pace.

Round 6

Holding, holding, and more holding. When Paul and Woodley weren’t in each other’s embrace, Paul landed a smacking combination, and some jabs were traded.

Woodley landed a right hand in the last minute.

Just when this fight was going nowhere, Paul swung for the fences and destroyed Woodley with a right hand.

The fight is over! Woodley was knocked out cold!
