Twitter offers its support for Teddy Bridgewater after nasty injury

Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went down with a frightening injury against the Cincinnati Bengals, prompting many to offer prayers and support.
A terrifying hit caused Denver Broncos starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to go down against the Cincinnati Bengals. Following the hit to the quarterback, Bridgewater was carted off the field.
Late in the third quarter of the game between the Broncos and Bengals, down 9-3, Bridgewater took off on a scramble in an attempt to get a first down. He ended up leaping over a Bengals defender and, in the process, diving and converting that first down.
However, Bridgewater landed hard on his head in the process.
Now, folks on Twitter are offering their prayers and showing support for the injured Broncos quarterback.

It was a pretty ugly hit. There’s only a handful of things worse in football than having to watch a player need to be carted off the field.
The hit itself is concerning, but it’s also concerning considering Bridgewater’s injury history. Given everything that’s known about head injuries, it’s also a generally concerning thing to see any NFL player take a devastating hit to the head.
Per reports, Bridgewater was conscious while being carted off and had feeling in all of his extremeties. He was taken to a hospital out of precaution given the nature of head injuries.
It remains to be seen how Bridgewater will be impacted by this injury or what might happen with his career after the collision. Hopefully, everything is mild and he’s able to recover quickly.
