Kevin Byard was not a fan of the officiating in the Tennessee Titans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game.

After a tight game with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard had some words for the officials.

Tennessee lost a very winnable game at Pittsburgh, 19-13. Neither team could do much of anything offensively. Though Ben Roethlisberger and Ryan Tannehill’s rushing touchdowns were the only trips to pay dirt on the afternoon, Pittsburgh won the game off the foot of placekicker Chris Boswell. As for Byard, he was clearly frustrated by the loss and it took it out on the officials.

Byard said after the game a lot of the calls on his fellow Titans defenders were “Complete B.S.”

With this loss, the Titans fall to 9-5 on the year. While they still are in first place in the AFC South, the Indianapolis Colts are right on their tail at 8-6 after beating the New England Patriots on Saturday night. Though the Titans took the season series from the Colts, they don’t want to be overtaken by the hottest team in the division in the latter part of the season. This is a big deal.

Even if Byard feels his teammates were hurt by the officials, the Titans needed to do a better job of taking care of business vs. a team they should be better than. Yes, their offense is really beat up, but most teams aren’t healthy at this point of the season. Ultimately, winners find ways and losers make excuses. Tennessee needs to pick up the pieces to end the season on a strong note.

The Titans will have a short week, as they host the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night.
