19. Mike Dunleavy (1999-2002)

Mike Dunleavy got to Duke just a season after the Blue Devils were stunned in the National Championship by UConn. Dunleavy didn’t have a huge impact during the 1999-2000 season as he started only two games averaging 9.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, but Dunleavy was very important during the 2000-2001 National Championship season.

Dunleavy started each of Duke’s 39 games that year averaging 12.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. He was named to the All-ACC Tournament team, and All-NCAA Tournament team, and helped Duke win the ACC Regular Season and Tournament titles as well as the National Championship.

In his junior season he averaged 17.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.3 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game as he helped Duke win the ACC Regular Season and Tournament titles, was named to the All-ACC Tournament team, ACC All-Defense team, and received All-ACC honors.

Dunleavy was the third overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors, and he had a long NBA career. He played in the NBA for 17 seasons and averaged 11.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists over the course of his career.
