It’s odd to see a home team, with a better record, on a short week, getting points. And yet it feels correct. The Niners are far healthier and much hotter. Take the Niners in a tight one.
Pick: San Francisco 24, Tennessee 19
Tough to see the Browns going into Green Bay on a short week and beating the Packers. Hell, it’s tough to see it with Cleveland having a month to prepare.
Pick: Green Bay 31, Cleveland 23
If the Cardinals lose this game, they’re in full-blown freefall. That said, Arizona is the more talented team with the superior quarterback. It bounces back here.
Pick: Arizona 26, Indianapolis 23
The Chargers have to be sick after last Thursday night, and they’ll take their frustrations out on the Texans in Houston.
Pick: Los Angeles 33, Houston 20
Huge, huge AFC North battle. The Bengals won 41-17 in their first matchup with the Ravens. This will be much closer, but how does Baltimore slow down Cincinnati’s passing attack?
Pick: Cincinnati 34, Baltimore 30
This is the AFC East championship. If the Bills win, they merely need to beat the Falcons and Jets at home to win the division. If New England wins, any other win or Dolphins loss clinches it.
Pick: Buffalo 27, New England 23
The Falcons probably win, but would anybody be surprised if the Lions went in and won by 20?
Pick: Atlanta 29, Detroit 19
God almighty.
Pick: New York 22, Jacksonville 18
The Rams have a real shot at a top-three seed in the NFC, and while the Vikings will also be fighting hard, Los Angeles is the better team.
Pick: Los Angeles 32, Minnesota 28
If the Giants win another game this season, the losing team should be forced to play in the MAC next year. New York is beyond cooked.
Pick: Philadelphia 28, New York 17
The Buccaneers are going to be short-handed and it’s a division game, but Carolina is ready for the offseason and Tom Brady won’t let Tampa Bay lose two straight.
Pick: Tampa Bay 26, Carolina 13
