Nothing runs an NFL fan’s weekend faster than seeing utterly atrocious quarterback play.

It may be the season of giving, but these NFL quarterbacks provided their fanbases nothing but lumps of coal this late December.

Every fall Sunday, fans across the world are subjected to good, bad and downright ugly quarterback play. There is no position more important on the field than the guy under center on the football gridiron. For every Joe Burrow who throws for over 500 yards to beat the Baltimore Ravens, there is a signal-caller who cannot direct his way out of a paper bag. Merry Christmas!

These three teams lost in NFL Week 16 largely because their squad’s quarterback play stunk.

NFL Week 16: 4 quarterbacks who played badly enough to merit being benched

Jake Fromm, Mike Glennon, it doesn’t matter. The Giants are festering garbage!

With New York Giants owner John Mara saying quarterback Daniel Jones and head coach Joe Judge will be getting a third season together, any fan of this team has the right to jump ship and pick another franchise to cheer for until this changes. If you dig pain, then by all means, enjoy the torture this once-proud franchise will continue to provide you until ownership is held accountable.

At this point, it does not matter if it is Mike Glennon, Jake Fromm or Saquon Barkley running the triple option, there is no reason to watch the Giants play football the rest of the way. It is hard to believe this was once a model franchise in the league. Now, they are in a rock fight with the Chicago Bears for the most dysfunctional franchise in the NFC. Living in the past is a horrible idea.

As far as Glennon is concerned, he is elite at being tall, having a long neck and collecting checks to not win games. While Fromm is only finally getting a crack at playing in the NFL, there are so many reasons why he fell to the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round last year and was treated like Steven Glansberg eating pudding by himself in the Orchard Park team facilities. He’s not that great either.

And to think the Giants brass blamed all their problems on some boat photo from five years ago…
