Cowboys second-year cornerback Trevon Diggs tied the franchise record with his 11th interception but his son, Aaiden, celebrating was the real highlight.

It’s truly a mystery as to why offenses insist upon throwing at Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs. Sure, he’s given up some big plays — but the aggressive second-year defensive back also leads the NFL in interceptions.

But for whatever reason, he keeps getting tested and keeps picking quarterbacks off. Taylor Heinicke added to Diggs’ total on Sunday Night Football as well with a big mistake early on.

The Washington Football Team quarterback got the ball for his first possession of the night and immediately thought it was a good idea to challenge Diggs. Spoiler alert: It was not. Diggs basically ran the route for Terry McLaurin and rose up to get his 11th interception of the season, tying the Cowboys‘ franchise record.

While fans of America’s Team throughout the country were loving the pick, no one was probably happier than Hard Knocks star and Trevon’s son, Aaiden Diggs, who was dancing his heart out in a box suite at AT&T Stadium.

As mentioned, Aaiden earned a multitude of fans for his endearing and adorable appearances on Hard Knocks during training camp. And it was for stuff like this that was the case.

For Aaiden’s father’s part, the Cowboys cornerback is looking like an elite ballhawk at this point in his career. He’s clearly worked on his ball skills and has the physical tools to make plays on any given throw. If he can cut down on the lapses as his still-young career goes on, Trevon Diggs has a monstrous career waiting ahead of him.
