Capital One Orange Bowl: 5 bold predictions for Michigan vs. Georgia

Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan football program will face Kirby Smart’s Georgia football team in the Capital One Orange Bowl in the second game of the 2022 College Football Playoff.
The Michigan football faithful have waited a long time for this, as has the rabid Georgia football fanbase.
No. 2 Michigan will face No. 3 Georgia in the Capital One Orange Bowl at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on Friday, Dec. 31. The winner of this College Football Playoff game will face the winner of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic played between No. 1 Alabama and No. 4 Cincinnati. The national title will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Jan. 10.
Here are five bold predictions for how the Orange Bowl will play out between the Michigan and Georgia football teams.

5. JT Daniels will come in and play at least a series to spell Stetson Bennett IV
Fresh off of clearing COVID-19 protocols, controversial backup quarterback JT Daniels will get at least one series under center in what could potentially be his final game in Georgia uniform. The presumptive starter coming out of fall camp lost his job due to injury and Stetson Bennett IV playing well for this team. With a championship on the line, no stone can be left unturned here.
That is why regardless of how well, or poorly, Bennett plays, Daniels will get some run in this game. It is about putting something on tape for Alabama to potentially sweat over, as well as mixing it up and confusing the Michigan defense. Georgia might even hit pay dirt on the one offensive drive Daniels is definitely going to be in there for. The can of worms will be opened.
Conversely, we should expect Michigan to do the same thing with J.J. McCarthy getting at least a series under center to complement what Cade McNamara is doing running the Wolverines offense.
