Arkansas football beat Penn State on the field at the Outback Bowl but the knockout blow came on social media after the game.
Just as offenses have exploded over the last decade, social media game in college football has just gotten better and better.
The Arkansas Razorbacks may have pulled off the ultimate social media victory after the team’s Outback Bowl win over Penn State.
Once the 24-10 win was in the books, whoever runs Twitter for the Razorbacks dropped this savage troll directed at the Nittany Lions.

That troll makes more sense if you are aware of the tweet that had people roasting Penn State mercilessly back in February of 2021.
Arkansas completed the troll of Penn State after the Outback Bowl
The Nittany Lions marked the Super Bowl with a graphic claiming that a Penn State alumnus has “appeared in every Super Bowl.” In the extremely fine print, they added, “except for five since 1967.”
Arkansas crafted the perfect way to take a swipe at Penn State for the ridiculous nature of that tweet and they did it when it wasn’t particularly expected. They went way back for that one and the college football world is better for it.
Penn State had a 10-7 lead over Arkansas at halftime. The Razorbacks figured things out at the break. They scored 17-unanswered points in the third quarter and came away with a 14-point win.
Sam Pittman finished out his second season in charge with a 9-4 record and his first bowl victory. Last year’s Texas Bowl matchup with TCU was canceled because of COVID-19.
