Sugar Bowl viewers could not help but notice the hoodie Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin wore on the sidelines.

The Sugar Bowl had the dubious distinction of trying to one-up a classic Rose Bowl. The Ole Miss Rebels entered Caesars Superdome in New Orleans with the goal of ending their season with a bowl victory against a tough Baylor Bears team.

Just before kickoff, viewers could not help but notice Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin’s hoodie, which featured the phrase “come to the sip.”

Kiffin uses that phrase in his tweets and acts as his recruiting slogan. The head coach even used it to try and get singer Katy Perry to return to Ole Miss to be a guest picker on ESPN’s College GameDay!

The good feelings and fun ended early for Ole Miss. In the first half, quarterback and top prospect at the position in the 2022 NFL Draft, Matt Corral, had his right leg rolled up on during a play. He had to be helped off the field and to the medical tent before having to be carted off to receive x-rays in the locker room.

Just before halftime, Corral emerged from the locker room on crutches while wearing a t-shirt.

For the remainder of the Sugar Bowl, Kiffin will rely on Luke Altmyer to play under center for the Rebels.
