Baker Mayfield may have played his last game as a member of the Cleveland Browns.

It has been a tumultuous four years for Baker Mayfield quarterbacking the Cleveland Browns.

At times, he played like the best signal-caller the franchise has had since Bernie Kosar. On other occasions, he has been incredibly erratic and a lightning rod with the national and local media. All the while, he is not playing for the same head coach and general manager who drafted him. There is a chance the Browns could move off him according to Mary Kay Cabot if Mayfield and Kevin Stefanski can’t co-exist.

If the Browns end up trading Mayfield this offseason, here are five potential landing spots for him.

The Houston Texans must upgrade at quarterback, but Davis Mills is interesting

Though the Houston Texans overachieved this season, they are still one of the worst teams the NFL has to offer. No, Houston will not have the precious No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, but the Texans are pretty much a lock to be picking inside of the top five. Because this is not a great quarterback draft class in the slightest, it could serve them to add Mayfield as a stop-gap.

If Mayfield plays like Matt Schaub did a decade ago, then this could be worth it. He is not as talented as Deshaun Watson, but his days as the Texans quarterback are so over. While Houston could use an upgrade at quarterback, there is reason to believe the franchise could roll with Davis Mills for another season. The former five-star out of Stanford has shown some signs of promise.

Mayfield would be the unquestioned starter in Houston, but the fit does not seem to be ideal.
