The New York Knicks defeated the Boston Celtics 108-105 in Madison Square Garden on Thursday on a clutch three-pointer by R.J. Barrett.
The New York Knicks once again defeated the Boston Celtics at Madison Square Garden, but they did not need two overtimes to do it. Well, R.J. Barrett ensured that never happened.
With the game tied at 105 points apiece and 1.5-seconds on the board, Julius Randle inbounded the ball to Barrett, who had Jayson Tatum defending him. That was no issue for Barrett, as he let go of his shot behind the three-point line, and it went in to give New York the victory.
This season, the Knicks are simply magic when they face theCeltics at home. This clutch shot from Barrett is proof of that.

Barrett ditched his former nickname, the Maple Mamba, in honor of Kobe Bryant after the NBA great’s tragic death in 2020.
