Fans of the Kansas City Chiefs should be holding their breath after watching Tyreek Hill play hobbled in the first half against the Broncos.

The Chiefs‘ march to the playoffs has brought the confidence back to Kansas City after a rough start. However, KC’s offense picked up a concerning issue against the Broncos.

During pregame warmups, star receiver Tyreek Hill suffered an apparent heel injury.

Fears that it might stop him from playing were quickly assuaged when he took the field in the first half. However, whatever sighs of relief you may have heard were quickly swallowed up by more concern.

Chiefs injury update: Tyreek Hill looked hampered by heel vs. Broncos

It was very clear Hill was hobbled by the injury.

Hill looked worse for wear in the first half and so did Kansas City as a whole. Travis Kelce put his team on the board first before Drew Lock ran in two touchdowns to give Denver a lead. Special teams woes were sprinkled throughout.

The Chiefs cut the deficit with a late field goal but still trailed 14-10 going into halftime.

Kansas City has clinched a playoff spot but a win on Saturday could set them up for a much more favorable playoff seed. So while it’s not do-or-die, there is an incentive for Hill to keep playing despite being banged up.

At the same time, having Hill as healthy as possible in the postseason is arguably more important than seeding. If Hill were to make the injury worse it would severely hamper the Chiefs’ hopes, regardless of what matchups they draw.
