Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams fanned rumors of his potential transfer to USC or UCLA with a visit to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles for a Rams game.

When Caleb Williams announced his decision to enter the transfer portal, he was clear that doing so was all about exploring his options.

That exploration appears to have taken him to Los Angeles.

On Sunday, Williams posted a video to his Instagram story from a sideline suite at SoFi Stadium during the Rams game against the 49ers.

Williams confirming his presence in Los Angeles comes after Oklahoma wide receiver Mario Williams, who entered the transfer portal as well, also placed himself in LA on Instagram.

The receiver told Hayes Fawcett when he entered the portal that he wants Williams to be his quarterback.

Put two and two together and it certainly looks like the two Williams are visiting USC as they ponder their transfer options.

It makes sense since Lincoln Riley left Oklahoma to take over the Trojans head coaching position. He recruited both the quarterback and Williams to play in his offense before. Both would be welcome additions to USC’s offense under Riley.

A visit to USC, and possibly UCLA, doesn’t guarantee either Caleb or Mario will decide to follow Riley but it’s the first step if that’s their ultimate plan. There will be other opportunities for the highly-coveted transfer targets to visit schools and weigh their best options.

With the spring semester due to start, transfer portal decisions will have to be made sooner than later.
