Christian Yelich just wants the MLB and the MLBPA to figure it out already and get a deal done.

After a great 2021 MLB season, players like Christian Yelich are hoping the MLBPA and baseball can figure it out.

Yelich is the star outfielder for one of the best teams in the National League in the Milwaukee Brewers. The former NL MVP is one of the most notable players in the Senior Circuit, but none of that will matter of the lockout does not end. It has been an incredibly contentious offseason since baseball locked the players out in their on-going labor dispute. This was getting old yesterday.

By quote tweeting Jeff Passan with a Big Cat GIF, you know Yelich just wants a damn deal done.

Christian Yelich is so frustrated with the MLB, MLBPA not having a deal done

Let’s be real. The longer this drags out, the worse it will get for baseball. The last massive labor strike caused baseball to lose so many fans in the mid-1990s, many of whom never came back to the sport. If both parties don’t wisen up, the same thing could happen to a new generation of fans, ones who are incredibly distracted with so many other things. Baseball cannot screw this thing up.

Sadly, baseball is gonna baseball. While the intricacies of any collective bargaining agreement are incredibly complicated, this is a children’s game after all. Baseball is “America’s pastime”, but will that be the case in a few years if labor issues ruin a promising 2022 season? Yelich is on the wrong side of 30 with nagging injuries and isn’t getting any younger. His frustration is very palpable here.

The more Big Cat GIFs we can get out there, the better chances we have at saving the season.
