Oklahoma football: Sooners can get some revenge on Lincoln Riley

While losing Lincoln Riley to USC has stung for for the Oklahoma Sooners, could things fall for the team to end up with Jaxson Dart? 

There’s simply no denying that the past month in the college football world has been nothing short of insane. We’re seeing coaches leave left and right, while more and more players are entering the transfer portal.

For Oklahoma, the program has seen Lincoln Riley bolt for USC, while all signs are pointing to Caleb Williams joining him. So, what can the Sooners do out on the recruiting trail? How about going out and landing former Trojan Jaxson Dart out in the portal?

Jaxson Dart transferring to Oklahoma would be unreal

With Riley out, former Clemson Tigers assistant Brent Venables is now the new head coach over in Norman. Imagine a scenario where Dart indeed transfers to Oklahoma, improves his game and then powers the Sooners to not only a Big 12 title, but also a trip to the College Football Playoff.

It’d be an incredible accomplishment for the program, while both Dart and the Sooners would be sticking it to Riley and USC at the same time. From the moment it was announced that Riley would be headed to the Pac-12, Sooners fans have been furious.

Everyone thought that Riley was going to stay with Oklahoma for the long haul. However, a sexy offer from the Los Angeles program was enough to get him to bolt and head for warmer climates in California. Again, it’s looking like Williams will be joining him.

For Dart, he just recently decided to transfer and you better believe several programs will be chasing him down. If Venables and Co. were smart, they wouldn’t waste a second in trying to get Dart on campus for an official visit.
