The Vikings are moving quick for their general manager search and Eagles exec Catherine Raiche is among the candidates to potentially land the job.

Could we see the Minnesota Vikings end up making history this offseason? Shortly after the team’s 2021 campaign came to a close, Minnesota’s front office wasted little time in firing both head coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman.

When it comes to the GM, one intriguing name has definitely popped up and that’s Catherine Raiche. According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, Raiche is scheduled to interview with the Vikings in the near future.

Catherine Raiche could make NFL history if hired by the Minnesota Vikings

Raiche currently serves as Philadelphia’s Vice President of Football Operations, a position she’s held since last year. Raiche has experience in the XFL and CFL as Garofolo noted and she’s quickly making a name for herself in the NFL too. So much in fact, the Vikings are ready to see if she’s ready to make the leap to GM.

In addition to Raiche, Minnesota is also planning to interview fellow Philadelphia exec Brandon Brown, who is the Eagles’ Director of Player Personnel. According to Tom Pelissero, Minnesota has also requested to interview Patriots exec Eliot Wolf, plus Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Glenn Cook of the Cleveland Browns.

Clearly, the Vikings are ready to hit the ground running with things and make a decision sooner than later for their next GM. There are several options on the table for the front office to consider already. Will they end up going with Raiche? If she ends up crushing her interview, then Minnesota very well could end up going in that direction.
