Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray made his playoff debut on Monday night but his rough start just brought out the memes.
Kyler Murray was a Pro Bowler for the second time in his three years in the NFL so there’s no question he can get the job done in the regular season.
The Wild Card Game against the Rams was supposed to be his chance to prove that he could raise his level in the postseason.
Unfortunately for Cardinals fans, Murray’s playoff debut was pretty much as bad as it could have been in the first half.
Murray was 7-of-17 for 28 passing yards and two interceptions. He looked shaky and completely unsure of himself.

The ugly performance had fans on Twitter joking about Murray’s future in the MLB, not the NFL.

There was plenty of other harsh commentary to observe on Twitter as well.
When Kyler Murray's on, he's probably my favorite QB to watch in the league.

You never know how a young quarterback is going to react in the playoffs, especially in a road game. Still, Arizona fans will have hoped for something much more from Murray.
In the regular season, Murray completed 66.9 percent of his passes, a career-high. He threw for 3,787 yards, 24 touchdowns and just five interceptions in 14 starts.
With the Cardinals looking likely to bow out of the playoffs, Murray will have to go home and figure out what he can do differently next time around. On the plus side, he can’t possibly do worse than his performance in the opening half against the Rams.
