7. Caris LeVert — Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers made it clear they are ready to start over. They are in their first year with head coach Rick Carlisle, but he wasn’t able to take this roster and turn it into a playoff contender. So, the Pacers are selling everything that isn’t bolted down to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Caris LeVert is an interesting piece that could help a lot of contenders both legit and outside the real bubble of championship quality teams.

Reports are saying that the Pacers want a first-round pick and a good young player in return for LeVert. That’s a pretty significant price to pay for someone who is still living a little bit off the upside he still has. He’s come back to Earth a little bit this season. He was averaging north of 20 points per game after the trade to the Pacers last season, but he’s fallen under 18 points per game this season. That could be a product of the scoring on the Pacers in general, but his career average is closer to what he’s doing this season.

LeVert is likely going to get moved this season. The Pacers put it out there because they wanted as many teams as possible to send their offers so they could play them against each other. They are setting the bar ridiculously high, but it’s likely they accept something slightly below their own market value. LeVert is a really good player, but he still has a little “prove it” before he gets the Pacers a superstar return.
