The theme song for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics borrows its name from the official 2022 Beijing Olympics motto, “Together For A Shared Future.”

It isn’t easy to coin a theme song that captures the spirit of the world, but the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics anthem proves to be welcoming to all while uniquely sharing Chinese culture.

The official 2022 Beijing Olympics theme song, “Together For A Shared Future”, features different variations showcasing a variety of global artists. Chinese Ambassador to India Sun Weidong shared the official version performed by Chinese singer and actor Yi Yangqianxi, also known as Jackson Yee.

The song is primarily performed in Mandarin, but the hook, “together for a shared future”, is sung in English.

However, there is also a multilingual version of the song, which features singers from all across the globe.

The multilingual version of the song features English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and Mandarin. The video was filmed in several of the world’s major cities, including Beijing, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Jerusalem, Moscow, and more.

Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics unveils theme song ‘Together For A Shared Future’

In Sept. 2021, the Olympic Organizing Committee revealed their official motto for the 2022 Beijing Olympics Games, “Together For A Shared Future.” According to the Organizing Committee, “the motto represents the power of the Games to overcome global challenges as a community, with a shared future for humankind.”

“The words reflect the necessity for the world to work together towards a better tomorrow, especially given the difficulties faced throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,” reads an official Olympic press release.

Before the Winter Games begin, Chinese government officials are sharing the song and motto on social media as they promote the 2022 Winter Games with pride.

Beijing, which also hosted the 2008 Summer Olympics, will become the world’s first dual Olympic city this February.
