NBA Twitter roasted the New York Knicks, who saw their losing streak extend to three games after loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.
The New York Knicks latest home stand has not gone the way that they had expected. They had lost the first two games of the four-game set at Madison Square Garden to Charlotte Hornets (Jan. 17) and Minnesota Timberwolves (Jan. 18). But, New York had the chance to end their losing streak at home on Thursday, Jan. 20, with a win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
That did not happen, as the Knicks lost 102-91 to the Pelicans. The score is a bit deceiving, as New York was actually trailing 81-57 after the third quarter concluded.
As a result, they were roasted by NBA Twitter.
If the Knicks can’t win even one home game out of three straight with the Hornets, T’wolves and Pelicans at this point of the season, they are in serious trouble.

Instead of trying to upgrade the last two spots on the bench the Knicks should be the market for Ben Simmons.

NBA Twitter roasts Knicks after loss to Pelicans
You know things are going bad when a Knicks fan is watching The Office while sitting in the stands at the game. The fans at Madison Square Garden were so frustrated, that Josh Hart of the Pelicans said after the game that it felt like they had a 6-on-5 advantage.
Josh Hart joked that it felt like the Pels were playing "6-on-5" tonight bc the Knicks fans were so frustrated tonight.

"They weren't on our side, but they weren't on their side either."
Knicks star Julius Randle had a bad night, as he only scored four points while shooting 1-for-9 from the field in 29 minutes of playing time. Evan Fournier, New York’s big free agent signing this past offseason, shot 2-for-8 from the field for a total of six points.
Mitchell Robinson did record a double-double on the night by scoring 17 points (6-for-7 from field) and grabbing 15 rebounds.
As for the Pelicans, Jonas Valanciunas secured a double-double of his own, recording 18 points (8-for-11) and 10 rebounds. Hart also had a big night, as he scored 17 points (5-for-10 from the field), grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists.
Things are not going to get any easier for the Knicks, as they host the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, Jan. 23, in the last game of their homestand.
