Green Bay Packers fans are not going to like being reminded of what Aaron Rodgers’ postseason record is vs. the San Francisco 49ers.

Aaron Rodgers may have rooted for the San Francisco 49ers in his youth, but they have been the Green Bay Packers quarterback’s perpetual nemesis in the postseason.

San Francisco infamously passed on the former Cal star passer with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. While Alex Smith was a fine player coming out of Utah, only one of these two quarterbacks is destined for Canton. Though the 49ers have not won a Super Bowl since 1994, they have been to two since Rodgers fell to the Packers all those years ago.

While Rodgers has been able to beat San Francisco during the regular season, he is 0-3 in three postseason games vs. the 49ers.

Aaron Rodgers has had a miserable time vs. the 49ers in the postseason

Though his numbers have not been horrific vs. the 49ers, football is every bit the team game. Green Bay lost in the 2012 divisional round when Colin Kaepernick ran all over the Packers defense. They fell to San Francisco the following year in the wild card round. Only two seasons ago, Green Bay was utterly eviscerated by the 49ers in an absolute laugher over in Santa Clara.

The good news for Green Bay is this game is at Lambeau Field. Green Bay earned the first-round bye in the NFC playoffs this year, while San Francisco’s Super Wild Card Weekend affair at the Dallas Cowboys went down to the wire. San Francisco is clearly the underdog in this one, but they have the rushing attack and potentially history on their side to hand Rodgers a fourth playoff loss.

Anything short of a Super Bowl 56 appearance will be a massive disappointment for Green Bay.
