San Francisco 49ers star pass-rusher Nick Bosa is listed as questionable vs. the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night, as he works his way back from a concussion.

If the San Francisco 49ers want to upset the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional Round, they are going to need Nick Bosa coming off the edge.

Bosa sustained a concussion in the crazy game vs. the Dallas Cowboys on Super Wild Card Weekend. While he is still in the NFL‘s concussion protocol, Bosa took part in warmups during 49ers practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He is listed as questionable for Saturday night’s game vs. the top-seeded Packers at Lambeau Field.

“You got to put him on there (the injury report) because of the steps of the protocol,” said 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan on Thursday. “But it’s looking good.”

Barring any setbacks, look for Bosa to be out there for the 49ers with an NFC Championship Game berth on the line in primetime on Saturday night.

If this game were played on Sunday, it would be even more likely that Bosa would play, as that would be an extra day for him to clear concussion protocol. With him being back in 49ers practice in some capacity this week, it does seem like Bosa will be ready to rock on Saturday night. However, he may not be his same dynamic self vs. the best team the NFC has to offer this season.

While the Packers eked out a narrow 30-28 victory over the 49ers earlier this season in Santa Clara, it was San Francisco who handed Green Bay an embarrassing NFC Championship game loss two postseasons ago. With former coaching buddies in Shanahan and Matt LaFleur going at it once again, it will be every bit the offensive chess match NFL fans could hope for in primetime.

If the 49ers want to stun the Packers, Bosa has to completely disrupt Aaron Rodger’s timing.
