Jaxson Dart might be heading to the SEC with these latest transfer portal rumors.

After spending his freshman season at USC, former Trojans quarterback Jaxson Dart finds himself in the transfer portal looking for a new place to play.

Dart is a former four-star recruit from Draper, Utah. He played in six games as a true freshman last year, throwing for 1,353 yards, nine touchdowns and five interceptions. With Lincoln Riley coming to Los Angeles, Dart clearly saw the writing on the wall. He has been in the transfer portal since Jan. 10, but his girlfriend’s Instagram activity may have leaked where he could be transferring to.

With her supposedly following a bunch of Ole Miss players and coaching staff, this could indicated Dart is about to be Rebel Trojan.

Jaxson Dart transfer portal rumors: Is former USC QB going to Ole Miss?

With Ole Miss losing starting quarterback Matt Corral to the 2022 NFL Draft, the Rebels are in need of a starting quarterback. Luke Altmyer offers a ton of promise, but he is incredibly raw. Another former USC quarterback in JT Daniels could be in line to transfer there as well after he lost the starting job at Georgia to Stetson Bennett IV. Of course, Dart could also be looking hard at BYU.

BYU was one of 12 schools to offer Dart coming out of high school. This is one of the bigger programs in his home state. Though playing for Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss is way more high-profile than going to BYU to play for Kalani Sitake, keep in mind that the Cougars are joining the Big 12 very soon. Staying close to home and still playing Power 5 football does not sound that bad.

While Ole Miss is a serious contender to land Dart, nothing is official until he puts pen to paper.
