Former USC QB Jaxson Dart reportedly enrolled at Ole Miss
By Ethan Lee
Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels might just land one of the top transfer quarterbacks available as it seems like Jaxson Dart may have enrolled at Ole Miss.
It looks like Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels may have found a pretty talented replacement for Matt Corral.
Kiffin faced a daunting task with trying to find someone to take over at quarterback as Corral is leaving Oxford, but landing a talented transfer quarterback like Jaxson Dart would definitely help make that transition to life without Corral an easier one. As it turns out, Dart might just be headed to Ole Miss.
According to a report from The Grove Report, Dart has apparently enrolled at the University of Mississippi.
That’s probably a pretty good sign for Kiffin and company.
Ole Miss football: Jaxson Dart reportedly enrolls with Rebels
At various times throughout the recent run of quarterbacks transferring around, it seemed like the Rebels would be pretty good fits for a few different names. But, if Dart ends up with Ole Miss, Kiffin will have someone he could potentially build a program around. The 18-year-old quarterback from Kaysville, Utah was a four-star recruit out of high school, according to 247Sports.
Dart ended up with the Trojans out of high school and, as a freshman, had some solid success during his time on the field.
In six games, Dart completed 61.9 percent of his passes for 1,353 yards and nine touchdowns against five interceptions. Dart was not perfect, but that’s a pretty good place to build from and work with for Kiffin.
Ole Miss hasn’t officially announced Dart’s transfer or enrollment, so it remains to be seen how that will unfold. It also remains to be seen how Dart could perform in the SEC if he ends up there. But, Kiffin and Ole Miss fans should be thrilled with the thought of having Dart in Oxford.
