The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will battle it out in the NFC Championship Game, and here are five bold predictions for the matchup.

On Sunday, two NFC West teams will battle it out in the NFC Championship Game with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line. For these two teams, this will be the third time they have played each other this season, and for the Los Angeles Rams, they have had their issues with the San Francisco 49ers in recent history.

With that said, game No. 3 of this matchup this season has everything on the line, and we take a look at some bold predictions for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

5. Matthew Stafford doubles Jimmy Garoppolo’s passing yard total

While Jimmy Garoppolo finished his 2021 regular season with over 300 yards against the Los Angeles Rams, he has not come close to that during the playoffs. Playing on the road against the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers, Garoppolo has mustered only 303 yards combined and has yet to find the end zone through the air.

Matthew Stafford, on the other hand, is fresh off a 366-yard effort against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Rams will look to continue to move the ball through the air this Sunday against Los Angeles. This 49ers team has done an excellent job against the pass this postseason, shutting down Dak Prescott and Aaron Rodgers, but Stafford is likely to double Jimmy G’s passing yard output in this one.
