NFL Network analyst Adam Rank somehow picks Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow over Kansas City Chiefs phenom Patrick Mahomes as the better quarterback ahead of the 2021 AFC Championship Game.

The Cincinnati Bengals may have a great quarterback in their own right in Joe Burrow, but Patrick Mahomes has been the best player in football with the Kansas City Chiefs the last four seasons.

Ahead of the 2021 AFC Championship Game, NFL Network analyst Adam Rank somehow picked Burrow as the better quarterback over Mahomes on set. Burrow might be The Geauxt, but Mahomes has earned the respect of everyone in the league over what he has done on the field in the last olympiad. Though Burrow may be of his ilk, you cannot take him over Mahomes right now.

Of course, Rank can be proven right if Burrow beats Mahomes for the second time this season to stay perfect at 3-0 in the AFC playoffs and lead of all teams Cincinnati to the Super Bowl.

NFL Network analyst picks Joe Burrow over Patrick Mahomes head-to-head

Look. Mahomes may be the best quarterback in the game, but it’s not be a country mile. Burrow had arguably the best single season college football has ever seen while at LSU. He went No. 1 overall to the Bengals for the reason. They were a grease fire before he arrived. Now he has them one win away from doing something that has not happened since Boomer Esiason was NFL MVP.

There is one reason and one reason alone why the Chiefs are favored to beat the Bengals in the AFC title bout. It is not because of how loud Arrowhead Stadium is. Burrow dominated the SEC, so stop with that nonsense. It is not because of how much better Mahomes is than Burrow. He is, but not by the Grand Canyon. It is because the Bengals offensive line is essentially a wet paper bag.

Burrow was sacked a Ferris Bueller nine times vs. the top-seeded Tennessee Titans last week in the AFC Divisional Round. Cincinnati needed a last-second field goal off the foot of Evan McPherson to win in Nashville, but keep in mind how huge that win was. Prior to last Saturday, the Bengals had never won a road playoff game in their history. How is that even remotely possible?

Ultimately, it does not matter if Mahomes uses this video clip as motivation or not. If he is not motivated to win the AFC for the third time in a row already, then there are bigger fish to fry here. Kansas City should win this game decidedly, but Cincinnati has shown throughout the season the Bengals are cool under pressure. If the game is close late, they will not be afraid of the moment.

Burrow is a fantastic quarterback, but this type of Mahomes disrespect is unadulterated madness.
