Patrick Mahomes, NFL players pay respects to the GOAT Tom Brady
By Mark Powell
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was among the current crop of NFL players to react to Tom Brady’s retirement news.
Given Brady is Mahomes’ direct competition, albeit in the NFC, you’d have to think he’s a little relieved at the moment. Still, Mahomes’ mind is elsewhere for now, with the Cincinnati Bengals the only team in his way prior to another Super Bowl appearance.
Brady played in 22 NFL seasons, and will reportedly retire at age 44. He’s the greatest player to ever play the position, and there’s little doubt about that fact.
Mahomes paid his respect on social media after the news broke.

Brady’s own company, TB12 Sports, weighed in on the news, making it official.
Weirdly enough, ESPN received word before Brady’s own team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Mahomes’ teammate, Tyreek Hill, also shouted out Brady.
