Arizona Cardinals wide receiver A.J. Green brings his Instagram account back to life strictly to congratulate the Cincinnati Bengals on getting to the Super Bowl.

A.J. Green doesn’t always use Instagram, but when he does, the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver reactivates it to congratulate the Cincinnati Bengals on winning the AFC.

Green spent the bulk of his illustrious NFL career out of the University of Georgia with the Bengals. While he achieved a borderline hall-of-fame career in Bengals stripes, playoff success evaded him. Once injuries caught up to him, the perennial Pro Bowler found a new place to work in the Valley of the Sun. Though the Cardinals have a very promising future, the Bengals were his first NFL team.

It is abundantly clear who Green will be rooting for in Super Bowl 56 in Los Angeles in two weeks.

Cincinnati has had a great history when it comes to star receiving talent. Green developed an incredible rapport with his draft classmate Andy Dalton upon arrival in the league in 2011. Together, this was one of the better quarterback/wide receiver tandems in the NFL for half a decade. They made the AFC playoffs all five years from 2011 to 2015, but did not win a game.

While it must be bittersweet to see Cincinnati have so much success without him, Green should know that he inspired wide receivers like Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd to go out there and be great. Fate would have it his other team in the Georgia Bulldogs also won its first national title in his lifetime earlier in January. Green is still playing, but he is not the player he once was.

This is an AFC Championship that any and all members of the Bengals family can thoroughly enjoy.
