30 Best NFL QB-WR duos in the modern era

No. 27: Dante Culpepper and Randy Moss

Staying with the Minnesota Vikings after naming Warren Moon and Chris Carter our No. 28th best QB-WR duo of the modern era, we now turn our focus to Dante Culpepper and Randy Moss. At the turn of the century, this dup was much-watch television, and in the days before Sunday Ticket, you would stay up for NFL Primetime to see what they did that week.

Known for his big arm, Culpepper found a perfect weapon in Moss, who could go up and get it with the best of them. This was a combination known for taking the lid off a defense, and over five years, Moss and Culpepper connected on 53 touchdowns, which was second only to Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison in Indianapolis.

In four of his five seasons with Culpepper throwing him the football, Moss had double-digit touchdowns in four of them, and all told, he racked up over 5,000 yards. According to the Minnesota Vikings website, Culpepper and Moss connected on 22 touchdowns of 30-plus yards, showing that big-play connection time and time again.

Not only were these two prolific on the field, but they were good friends off of it, leading to their remarkable chemistry week in and week out.
