Jason Lloyd of The Athletic takes a ruthless shot at former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. after his Los Angeles Rams punched their ticket to the Super Bowl.

Odell Beckham Jr. gets to do something the Cleveland Browns never have before in franchise history: Play in a Super Bowl.

Beckham left the Browns midway through the season in dramatic fashion. He ended up with the NFC-contending Los Angeles Rams, helping offset their season-ending loss of Robert Woods in the receiving corps. While most people are happy about Beckham finally getting to play in a Super Bowl, Jason Lloyd of The Athletic is not.

While Beckham may have left Cleveland on bad terms, now is not the time to dunk on him publicly.

Los Angeles will be the second team in a row to host the Super Bowl in its own stadium. The Rams will take on the AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals. Should the Rams protect their home turf, it will be the second Super Bowl championship in franchise history, but only their first since they called Los Angeles home. The Bengals are in the Super Bowl for the third time overall and first since 1988. They are seeking the franchise’s first win.

Overall, it is totally understandable for Browns fans and members of the Cleveland media to not like how Beckham exited Northeast Ohio. They might be openly rooting against him in two weeks. Then again, that would require cheering for a bitter division rival in the Bengals to get it done, a team that was birthed from a falling out in Cleveland, to begin with. This is their worst nightmare.

It was a great weekend of football, but not one Cleveland fans seemed to enjoy in the slightest.
