LSU football head coach Brian Kelly made waves with his dance moves in a video with recruit Danny Lewis, but the tight end spurned him for Alabama.

Brian Kelly’s tenure with LSU football has been supremely memeable ever since he was inexplicably overcome by a cajun accent while being introduced at a Tigers basketball game.

The best of all his viral moments was a video LSU released showing the head coach dancing along with recruit Danny Lewis in a 360-degree, slo-mo video.

It took the internet by storm for good reason.

That mesmerizingly awkward clip experienced a revival on Signing Day because it was time for Lewis to make his commitment decision. And it wasn’t with LSU.

Recruit Brian Kelly danced with spurned LSU for Alabama

He’s not going to be dancing with Kelly again because he’s going to Alabama.

Lewis is a three-star tight end prospect out of Louisiana, so his decision to leave the state will sting for the Tigers. He ranks No. 611 in the class nationally, per the 247Sports composite.

He’ll always be remembered for that recruiting moment, even if he decided to become a member of the Crimson Tide.

LSU may have missed out on Lewis but they still had a big day in the recruiting realm. Five-star linebacker Harold Perkins chose the Tigers over Texas A&M and Florida, becoming the highest-rated recruit in the class for 2022. Kelly can do a little dance to celebrate that one for sure.
