Miami Dolphins Mock Draft – Third Round
Even though McDaniel already inherits Jaylen Waddle as a versatile playmaker in this offense, the Dolphins have to take Breece Hall out of Iowa State. He has been the best running back in the Big 12 for the last two years. While Iowa State came up short of lofty expectations this past year, he is easily the Cyclones’ best offensive player entering the 2022 NFL Draft. He could be very special.
Though he may not be used as liberally as Deebo Samuel was in San Francisco, just imagine him being in the same offense with Waddle. It would certainly make things easier for Tua Tagovailoa to get caught up to speed in a new offense, assuming he is down to studying the playbook this time. Ultimately, McDaniel hails from the Shanahan coaching tree, which means they will run the ball.
Hall may not have a long shelf life in the NFL, but he could be a Pro Bowl-level player if used correctly in Miami. For the value, he is worth using a later day-two pick on for sure if you are the Dolphins. Again, Miami is expected to run the ball a ton in McDaniel’s scheme using zone-blocking tactics. It would not be shocking if Hall is a 1,000-yard rusher by the end of his second season.
Whoever ends up drafting Hall out of Iowa State will be getting at his core, a football player.
