Aaron Jones unconvinced Aaron Rodgers leaves the Packers

As Aaron Rodgers’ future with the Green Bay Packers seems uncertain, Aaron Jones doesn’t seem to believe Rodgers is going anywhere.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers could end up leaving the Packers for a new home. Or he may not. At least one of Rodgers’ teammates seems to think the talented quarterback will be back with the Packers.
If you ask Aaron Jones, the 27-year-old Packers running back, Rodgers will be making a return to the Packers. As Grant Gordon of NFL.com points out, Jones told the folks on NFL Total Access Live that he believes Rodgers will be playing for the Packers next season.
“I’ve heard what everybody else has heard, what they’re reading,” Jones said. “But I think he’ll be there, in my heart.”
Jones notes something that seems to be a common line of thought with many when it comes to discussing Rodgers’ career and legacy: it’s hard to imagine the quarterback playing for anyone else.
“Green Bay, I can’t imagine him anywhere else, that’s where he’s been his whole career,” Jones said. “I just can’t picture him anywhere else. I think we had a lot of fun this year, I hope to have him back and I believe in my heart he’ll be back.”
Aaron Rodgers rumors: Will Green Bay Packers lose Aaron Rodgers?
The Packers will want Rodgers to make a return to Green Bay. At the moment, it doesn’t appear as if there’s a ton of confidence in Jordan Love’s ability to lead the franchise forward. He’s young and probably needs some more time before he’s ready to see significant playing time, that’s not unreasonable.
Still, it’s also worth noting how Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks any team in the NFL has ever had. Losing any player of his caliber is potentially devastating, to say the least.
It’s not clear what Rodgers will end up doing. It makes sense that his teammates would want him to come back. A quarterback with the talent he has could help this franchise make another meaningful run at a championship.
