When was the last time the Los Angeles Rams won a championship?
The Los Angeles Rams might be the second team in a row to win the Super Bowl in their home city. Just last year the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won their first (and last) Super Bowl with Tom Brady at the helm. Now LA looks to repeat the honor when the Rams take on the Cincinnati Bengals from home.
Now, many fans are gearing up for a victory parade.
But when was the last time they actually hoisted the trophy?
When was the last time the Los Angeles Rams won a championship?
This is a bit tricky as the team has changed cities frequently. In its current state, the team has yet to win a title. But let’s take a look at how they did in their various cities.
While the team was the Cleveland Rams (1936–1942 and 1944–1945) they won no Super Bowls. The team suspended operations in 1943, in case you are wondering about that gap. Then they were the Los Angeles Rams (1946–1994), and during those years they failed to win the Super Bowl.
Then they became the St. Louis Rams (1995–2015), in which they won the Super Bowl in 1999 as the ‘Greatest Show on Turf’. Now, they are back in LA and looking to win another Super Bowl.
Have the Los Angeles Rams ever won the championship?
Even though the team only has one Super Bowl win total, they don’t lack post-season experience. They’ve been in the playoffs a total of 31 times since their first appearance in 1945.
The Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl ring
If the Rams beat the Bengals they’ll add only their second Super Bowl ring to their collection.
If you want to buy yourself a 1999 Super Bowl ring, you can. Goldin Auctions has one up for grabs.
