Matthew Stafford has helped lead the Los Angeles Rams to the Super Bowl. Before the Rams, he played for the Detroit Lions, but where did he play before he was in the NFL?

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has been an instrumental part of the Rams run to Super Bowl 56. Stafford has a shot at winning his first Super Bowl with the Rams because before he was in Los Angeles, Stafford played for a much worse team: the Detroit Lions.

During his first season with the Rams, Stafford has been able to actually get a win in the playoffs (something that never happened while he was with the Lions) and he’s been thrilling to watch throughout this season. Stafford has long been a great quarterback and he was always fun to watch during his 12 seasons in Detroit.

Stafford’s college football days took place at the University of Georgia. Stafford played for the Bulldogs from 2006 through 2008. During that 2008 season, Stafford was named a first-team All-American and a second-team All-SEC quarterback.
