After a heartbreaking loss in Super Bowl 56 to the LA Rams, quarterback Joe Burrow had a simple and emotional message for his fans.

You’ve got to feel for Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. In the Super Bowl on Sunday night, Burrow and the Bengals fell just short and suffered a devastating loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Cincinnati’s dream season nearly ended with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, but things weren’t meant to be. For Burrow, he was emotional following the final whistle. However, he didn’t waste time jumping on Twitter to deliver a special message for the Bengals supporters.

Joe Burrow made it clear he’s proud of the Bengals despite the Super Bowl loss

The Bengals were so close to winning it they could taste it, but Matthew Stafford hit Cooper Kupp for a one-yard score with 1:25 left in the fourth quarter. Burrow got the ball in his hands for one final drive, hoping to deliver late dramatics. The Rams defense stepped up, though, and the Bengals couldn’t land the final punch.

Despite the result, Burrow’s message for everyone who loves the Bengals was that this team gave it their all. The Bengals players might be a bit in the dumps now, including Burrow, but they have nothing to hold their heads about.

Entering the campaign, virtually no one gave the Bengals a chance to even make it to the Super Bowl. They proved countless people wrong, as they upset the Titans in the Divisional Round and then followed that up with another stunning victory on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Burrow was front and center for that action, stepping up time and time again for his team. Yes, Burrow and his teammates didn’t win on Sunday, but with so much young talent, it sure feels like this group could get back to the Super Bowl sooner than later.
