The no-look pass Matthew Stafford threw to Cooper Kupp during the game-winning Super Bowl drive looks even better from a new angle.

The most incredible play from Super Bowl 56 wasn’t Cooper Kupp’s game-winning touchdown pass or Aaron Donald’s pressure for a fourth-down stop to seal the deal.

It was Matthew Stafford’s no-look pass for a 22-yard completion to Kupp.

The throw would have been impressive on its own, even if Stafford hadn’t baited the defensive backs with his eyes and then threw into the lane.

The Rams had an angle of the pass that gave an even better account for how incredible Stafford’s feint was.

New angle of that Matthew Stafford no-look pass is stunning

It doesn’t get more perfect than that.

That particular play moved Los Angeles into the red zone but Stafford and Kupp were far from finished. Their connection drove the offense into the endzone by sheer force of will it seemed.

It all paid off when Stafford found Kupp in the front corner of the endzone for the touchdown to put them in the lead.

Stafford targeted Kupp seven times on that final drive, completing four passes for 39 yards. One third-down incompletion drew a penalty for holding from the defense. Another completion in the endzone was nullified by offsetting penalties. Kupp drew a pass interference penalty again at the four-yard line.

Whenever Stafford called Kupp’s number, he answered the call. The two of them will go down in history because of it.

Stafford may have locked in his Hall of Fame candidacy with that drive. Kupp capped a historic season with a trophy. They combined to do something truly special.

Next. The Rams will repeat and here's why. dark
