With NFL free agency set to start on March 16, here’s a look at five quarterbacks who teams could race to try and sign.

It just feels like this NFL offseason could be wilder than anything we’ve seen in recent years. Some big names are going to be on the move and people are of course going to wait and see what happens with Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Donald and others for 2022.

Once free agency does open on March 16, there will be several signal-callers ready to sign with new teams. Which players figure to draw the most attention? We take a look at five quarterbacks in this piece.

5. Jacoby Brissett

After signing a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins last offseason to be the No. 2 option behind Tua Tagovailoa, Brissett could be on the move once again. The veteran signal-caller may not be a certified starter in the NFL, but he’s no question a quality backup.

This past campaign, Brissett ended up playing in 11 games for Miami, making five starts. On the year, Brissett tossed for 1,283 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions. He added another score on the ground as well.

What makes Brissett so attractive for suitors is that he can step in on a moment’s notice and deliver for his team. How many times have we seen NFL teams toss out No. 2 or No. 3 quarterbacks in a crunch and those players struggled? No disrespect to Ian Book of the New Orleans Saints, but his start against the Dolphins this past season was abysmal to watch.

A team wouldn’t have that kind of a worry with Brissett, as he can still get things done with the ball in his hands. He’s not going to be an expensive option either. He should be getting plenty of calls next month in free agency.
